Is anyone else saddened by the prevalence of prostitution in "Game of Thrones"?

I watch this series every week, and find it interesting. I agree with defenders of the show that there are strong positive women in it. However, I can't help but feel sad about the prevalence of prostitution in the show. I understand that men are turned on by it, along with the nudity. However, as a woman, I find it sad. What do you think?
