Use Zonealarm firewall.Its freeware and you will be notified once any program tries to connect to internet.You can permit/deny any program that request for internet access.Configure your lan ip's in the trusted zone.Block all other program from accessing the internet except the required one(I would suggest Generic Host process for win32,your browser,antivirus and windows update).
